New markets

Global business and technology consulting company Slalom has opened a 10,000 sq ft office at Bruntwood’s Bloc in the heart of Manchester.

It will be the US-headquartered company’s permanent base in the region following growth which has seen it reach 44 markets in seven countries since 2001.

Since establishing a presence in Manchester in 2019, Slalom has created more than 120 jobs in the city region including strategy, technology and transformation specialists.

Having already supported over 30 organisations across the region, Slalom has ambitious plans to bolster this by more than doubling its headcount in the North West by 2025.

An established member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, which improves employment standards across the region, the team also supports local charities including The Booth Centre and Onside Youth Zone.

“In 2019, when we first set our sights on Manchester, we knew the city was at the centre of digital innovation helping to strengthen industries across the UK,” said Paul Squire, MD at Slalom Manchester.

“Since then, we’ve made connections across the city region, built an incredible team, and supported some fantastic businesses to go beyond the expected. Now, four years on, we’re making our footprint even bigger as we continue to recognise the breadth of talent here and the opportunity for collaboration with businesses that are delivering real change.

“This new office gives us the space to collaborate more closely with our partners and clients, helping them overcome the challenges they will continue to face. It has been designed with our clients in mind, offering a hub where we can work more closely together.”

Slalom’s global team of 13,000 is a partner to 400 of the most innovative technology companies in the world, including AWS, Salesforce, Google Cloud, Microsoft and Tableau.
