Who?

Trade Aide was co-founded by Clive Flashman, Hassan Chaudhury and Dr Michael Watts – experts in digital health, scaling businesses and international trade – and formally launches at the end of April 2023.

Why?

Funded by Innovate UK, it aims to support digital health companies looking to internationalise their activities.

What?

It is creating research products called Knowledge Powerpacks that help digital health SMEs to enter new foreign markets and start trading as quickly as possible. The first market it is targeting is the UAE, with the next Saudi Arabia. It eventually intends to expand into sectors other than health.

How?

Trade Aide has a network of partners who can provide SMEs with warm introductions, business development and sales support in the UAE, along with help to refine their solution for the new market and technological expertise if required. Medilink can provide tailored regulatory support and Hill Dickinson offer local legal services customised to your needs. Trade Aide members receive a significant discount off of all these partner services.

Where?

Trade Aide is based in Birkenhead, Merseyside.

Launching: Markr – a virtual patent marking tool

They say:

Flashman: “We are running launch webinars on the 25th (noon) and 28th (4pm) of April to showcase our Knowledge Powerpacks and services. Each session lasts for one and a quarter hours. The website will be live shortly before the first webinar to access and purchase the UAE Powerpack.

“We are working in partnership with all of the regional innovation hubs (AHSNs) of the NHS, plus most of the university-based digital health accelerators such as TheHill at Oxford.”
