A round-up of key appointments by technology companies, investors and business support services in the last week:

Capital on Tap

London FinTech Capital on Tap has appointed a new CEO. The provider of credit cards to SMEs, one of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses, has revealed that current CEO and co-founder David Luck will become executive chairman, effective immediately. Chief product officer Damian Brychcy has been promoted to CEO.

ramsac

Guildford-based IT support, managed service and cybersecurity provider, ramsac, has made a number of changes to its leadership team on the back of 25 per cent growth in 2023. Founder Rob May has assumed the role of executive chairman; Dan May, previously the firm’s commercial director, takes up the reins as managing director while Peter Tooke has joined the board as technical delivery director. Finally Sally Cooper, operations director, takes a lead on the delivery of technical support services.

Volt

Irina Chuchkina has been appointed the first chief marketing officer at real-time payments platform Volt. Volt raised £47m in Series B funding in June 2023.

eComplete Group

Pritesh Patel has started a new position as head of data and business intelligence at Manchester-based eCommerce growth partner and investor, eComplete Group. The company was co-founded by former THG C-suite executives Paul Gedman and Andy Duckworth.

Doro

Doro has appointed Ben Crompton as managing director for the UK and Ireland, taking over from Peter Marsden, who will head up the new central direct-to-consumer division and online strategy. Doro is a Swedish company listed on Stockholm’s Nasdaq Stock Exchange. It is headquartered in Malmö and has sales operations in 27 countries.

Jaywing

Sheffield-based data science and marketing agency Jaywing has appointed Dr Catherine Kelly as its new managing director as part of a ‘refreshed brand proposition’. She succeeds Maria Vardy, who left the business for Builtvisible last summer.

Tizo

Nick Groves has been appointed CEO of legal and complaint case management systems Tizo. The appointment follows a spell supporting the leadership team on an interim basis.

Grant Thornton

Mick Frankish is taking over from Carl Williams as practice leader of Grant Thornton across the North West. Williams is planning to retire as a partner at the end of the year.

FTI Consulting

Adam Broadbent has rejoined business consultancy firm FTI Consulting in Manchester as managing director. He previously worked at KPMG.

LDC

James Garland has been promoted to investment director at  leading UK mid-market private equity house LDC. He’s also moved LDC offices from the South West and Wales to the wider South of England.

Cortus Advisory Group

Lizzie Meadowcroft has joined Cortus Advisory Group as a partner to lead the firm’s synergies, integration and separation team. She previously worked at KPMG. Cortus plan to grow the team to 50 over the next 18 months.

Sundown Solutions

Nick Cowley has started a new role of head of consultancy at fast-growing Lancashire-based cloud transformation IT consultancy Sundown Solutions.
