An accelerator for future B2B software companies led by women is launching this summer.

AlbionVC and Speedinvest are now inviting applications for Radia, an eight-week programme designed for female operators focused on turning ideas into startups in the next 12 months.

Named in honour of Radia Perlman, the ‘mother of the internet’, the programme provides know-how curriculum delivered online and offline by leading SaaS operators, entrepreneurs and investors from major VC funds and angel communities across Europe.

These include figures from AlbionVC and Speedinvest as well as BaoY Van Cong, partner, Target Global; Dinika Mahtani, investor, Cherry Ventures; Itaxso Del Palacio, partner, Notion; Triin Linamagi, founding partner, Sie Ventures; Jonny Clifford, partner, Entrepreneur First; and Maren Bannon, MD, January Ventures.

Participants will learn how to start, build, and scale a B2B software company from scratch – from validating their idea and go-to-market strategy to the SaaS metrics that really matter to raising funding and stepping into the role of a CEO.

Becoming a female CEO at 29 in a ‘man’s world’

“Women working at startups, scaleups and corporates are primed to be the next generation of female founders,” said Deepali Nangia, partner with Speedinvest.

“Through this partnership with AlbionVC, we at Speedinvest, want to encourage them to build their companies and are here to support them through this journey.”

Applications for the summer 2023 cohort close on Wednesday 26th April. People not yet ready to apply but keen to learn more are invited to a Zoom Q&A session on April 17th.

Ed Lascelles, partner at AlbionVC, added: “To unlock the next generation of female software leaders, together with SpeedInvest we are launching a programme to equip them with the access, network and knowledge to start and scale category leading companies.

“We are delighted to bring together leading entrepreneurs and investors in the tech ecosystem to share learnings and practical know-how with the next generation of SaaS leaders.”
