Private investing platform Seedrs and Microsoft have launched SERIES AI – an AI-focused accelerator for ambitious startups.
Founders on the four-week programme – starting on 1st May 2024 – will gain insights, resources and mentorship to develop their AI solution, with six selected as finalists and handed the opportunity to pitch their business in front of VCs Vektor Partners and SFC, as well as other experts.
Applications are now open. The programme is suitable for early stage startups from any sector looking to build or already building AI solutions and capabilities within their business.
“Over the last few years, the UK has emerged as a world leader in artificial intelligence. Our thriving ecosystem benefits from an excellent talent pool fuelled by some of the world’s best STEM universities and a sympathetic regulatory environment, so it’s no surprise it was the second most-funded sector in the UK last year,” said John Lake, managing director, Seedrs, which is now part of Republic.
“At Seedrs, we know that investors are backing AI and founders need to be equipped to capitalise. In partnership with Microsoft we’re extremely excited to provide a lucky few businesses with the insights and expertise they need to develop their AI products and access vital growth capital.”
Orla McGrath, general manager, partner business, Microsoft UK, said: “We are excited to be working with Seedrs to help startups seize the AI opportunity.
“By building their innovative AI solutions on the Microsoft Cloud, startups have the opportunity to utilise this exciting technology to transform every industry for the better.”
